This policy explains how we handle personal information across the Longevity Living website and, separately, through our compatibility questionnaire. If you are completing the questionnaire, the section that applies to you is "B. Compatibility questionnaire and housemate matching" below.
Who we are
Care Visions Group Limited ("we", "us", "our") operates Longevity Living and is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
- Contact address: Unit 9, The Courtyard, Callendar Business Park, Callendar Road, Falkirk, FK1 1XR
- ICO registration number: Z2657946
- Data protection contact: DataProtectionLead-CS@carevisions.co.uk
Other Care Visions services have their own separate privacy policies; this policy applies only to Longevity Living.
A. Using the Longevity Living website
Information we collect from website visitors
- Enquiry and waitlist details: if you contact us or join our waitlist, your name, email address, age range, preferred living arrangement, preferred London areas or postcodes, preferred household size, monthly rent budget and any message you provide.
- Usage and analytics data: collected through Google Analytics — the pages you view, how long you engage, whether you are a new or returning visitor, your approximate (city-level) location, the device and browser you use, and how you reached the site (for example from a paid social ad).
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including pixels and tags placed by the providers below. Some are essential for the site to work; the rest are optional and are used only where you agree.
- Google Analytics (GA4): measures how the site is used, as described above. Sets analytics cookies.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising: we run ads on Meta. A Meta pixel on our site measures ad performance (for example, whether people who click an ad go on to view key pages), lets us show ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing), and helps us build advertising audiences.
- TikTok advertising: we run ads on TikTok. A TikTok pixel is used in the same way — to measure ad performance and support remarketing and audience building.
- Cookie preferences (ll_consent): an essential first-party cookie set by our site that stores your cookie choice for 180 days, so we can respect it without asking again on every visit.
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie banner shown when you first visit, which you can reopen at any time via "Manage cookies" at the foot of every page. Rejecting them does not stop you using the site.
Our email and waitlist provider
We use Mailchimp to manage waitlist sign-ups and to send updates you have asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We use single opt-in, so you'll start receiving the updates you asked for as soon as you join the waitlist.
Lawful basis, storage and retention (website)
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, advertising cookies and marketing emails — you can withdraw it at any time. We rely on our legitimate interests in running and securing the website for essential cookies and core functionality. Google, Meta and TikTok process the data collected through their tools under their own privacy policies, and may process it outside the UK under their own safeguards. We keep the enquiry and waitlist data we hold for as long as you remain on the waitlist, plus 12 months afterwards, then delete it.
B. Compatibility questionnaire and housemate matching
This section explains how we handle the information you give us through the Longevity Living compatibility questionnaire, and how we use it to match you with people you might share a home with. The questionnaire is for adults (18+) and is completely voluntary — you can leave any optional question blank.
Information we collect
- Identity and contact details: your name and email address.
- Your preferences and circumstances for shared living: work pattern, time at home, household and cleaning habits, communication and social style, skills you could share, aspirations, and how you would respond to shared-living scenarios.
- Special category information (only if you choose to provide it): care needs and medical history, and lifestyle information that can reveal health — smoking or vaping, alcohol and recreational drug use, and dietary requirements.
- Information about other people: if you mention others (for example children, a partner, or existing housemates), we process that too, only as part of assessing your situation.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use this information for one purpose only: to assess your compatibility for Longevity Living and to match you with potential housemates.
- For general personal data, our lawful basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
- For special category information, our lawful basis is your explicit consent (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(a)), which you give through the consent question at the start of the questionnaire. Because we rely on consent, providing this information is your choice, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
What we do not do with your answers
- Unlike the general website data described in Section A, your questionnaire answers are never used for analytics, marketing, advertising, remarketing or ad-targeting.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not make any automated decision about you. Matching is carried out by people, not by an automated system with legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
- Our Longevity Living matching team, who use your answers to assess compatibility.
- Microsoft, as our processor, which hosts the questionnaire and stores responses on our behalf within Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Forms and the linked spreadsheet). Microsoft acts only on our instructions.
We will not share your answers with a potential housemate without your agreement. In particular, any care needs or medical information you provide — including your answer to the care-needs question — is shared with a prospective housemate only with your specific agreement.
Where your data is stored, and how long we keep it
Your responses are stored in our Microsoft 365 environment in the United Kingdom. We do not transfer your data outside the UK. We keep your responses for the duration of your involvement in the matching process and for 12 months afterwards, after which they are securely deleted. Deletion covers all copies of your responses, including the linked spreadsheet and any exports. If you withdraw your consent, we delete your responses promptly, including all copies, unless we are required by law to keep them.
How we keep it secure
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, restrict access to the matching team on a need-to-know basis, and keep an audit record of access to sensitive information. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take appropriate measures to protect your data.
Your rights
For any personal data we hold about you, you have the right to:
- access it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- data portability;
- withdraw your consent at any time — this won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it;
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
